Some One's Sons are a four-piece Irish folk band from Mullingar in Ireland. The Sons are noted for their rich harmonies, charismatic and lively sets, while handling ballads with a delicate and passionate touch.

Some One’s Sons have been riding a wave of success, with a sold-out performance in Liverpool, and headline gigs at renowned venues such as the Róisín Dubh and the Grand Social. Their captivating live performances, including a memorable radio performance on BBC Merseyside, have garnered them a dedicated fanbase. The past year also included notable performances on the national gig rig at the Fleadh Cheoil, Electric Picnic, TG4 Live, and supporting The Fureys.

The band now embark on a summer tour, with performances supporting renowned acts like the Wolfe Tones and George Murphy, a headline performance at Whelan’s, and festivals including Electric Picnic, Galway Folk Fest, and RiverFest.

Some One’s Sons consists of Daniel Allen, Greg Dunne, Ray Purcell and Ger Dunne. Lead singers Daniel and Greg’ voices compliment each other beautifully in both ballads and upbeat tunes. Daniel’s voice blends sweet tones, reminiscent of the late Jim McCann, with an unrefined ruggedness, similar to that of Tom and Paddy Clancy. Greg commands a tenor that is both unique and yet timeless in nature, often compared with Luke Kelly and Tommy Makem.
