3epkano are a Dublin-based 7-piece who specialise in composing and playing live music scores to classic movies from the silent age.

They have over a dozen feature films to their name along with numerous silent shorts.

Since their inception in 2004, 3epkano have made a name for themselves in Ireland with live silent movie shows in the Sugar Club, National Gallery of Ireland, IFI, Meeting House Square, Dartmouth Square, Fitzwilliam Square, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Kinsale Arts Festival, Savoy cinema and in the Triskel and Mermaid Arts Centres amongst others.

Overseas performances include the village square in Penne d'Agenais (France), the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Lincoln Center in New York City and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. Their recent shows not involving classic silent film include several multimedia collaborations with Donal Dineen and Hector Castells, both of whom bring their extraordinary film footage into the experience; also gigs in Vicar Street, St Canice's Cathedral, Electric Picnic and the Button Factory amongst others. 3epkano have featured on RTE Radio One on Rattlebag, Around Midnight, Eleventh Hour, On The Fringe, The Arts Show and Arena, on BBC Radio Ulster and on Today FM. They have also appeared on RTE television on The View and a number of documentaries, both on radio and television.

They have three 3 studio releases: an eponymous EP (2006), a full length album "At Land" (2007) and the most recent album "Hans the Reluctant Wolf Juggler" released in Oct 2011.
