Brought together by a shared love of left field pop music , beats , psychedelia and cinematic sounds and samples, Bear Bones began rehearsing and recording in mid 2010 after demise of former band 8Ball. With a stated brief to make electronic music from an organic perspective , the band began sculpting tracks using samples , harmonies , found sounds , old synths and guitars.Bear Bones have drawn comparisons to everyone from Lali Puna and Animal Collective to Jesus and Mary Chain and Sixties Pop. Go figure.
Having built a solid reputation through some low key single releases and gigs , Bear Bones are set to release their debut Ursa Major EP in late October 2011.
