BLIND PILOTS

Rock // Dundalk, Louth

Blind Pilots formed as sixteen year old schoolboys with aspirations of making atmospheric indie-pop with a nostalgic tinge. Now as comparatively auld fellas at the age of 21, the Dundalk quartet are poised to advance their upward trajectory with the August 2010 release of double a-side single Rosé Cheeks/Cocktail.

Blind Pilots progress started in earnest with the 2008 release of their debut EP ‘The Toys Have Gone Berserk’. This debut offering was well-received by the public and reviewers alike and ensured the band's music reached new welcoming ears.
‘echoes of u2…tasty guitars sparkle within a warm sound…anthemic’-Jackie Hayden
‘Graceful and gorgeous…’-russellmusicreviews.blogspot.com
‘sickeningly catchy…fantastic riffs…soothing magnificence’- Highway67.net
Having built up a reputation for their energetic live shows, high-profile support slots followed with the likes of Fight Like Apes, Ham Sandwich and Giveamanakick.

Their sound seamlessly accommodates the seemingly polarized tones of light and dark. A blind pilots song is a place were catchiness and poppiness can co-exist with tension and atmosphere.

Rosé Cheeks/Cocktail is the ultimate marker of this all-encompassing sound and is due to be released on the 7th of August 2010
