‘Incisions’ is the blistering new single from post-punk quartet Dead School. Only the band’s third official release, they have already been signed to Irish independent label, FIFA Records and completed their first UK tour.
Dead School set their stall out in 2011 with an opening salvo of singles ‘Frailties’ and ‘3:17’ that caught the ear of Irish alternative radio. They made their first festival appearance at the Indiependence Music and Arts Festival, playing on a bill that included The Editors, Ash and Therapy? With the band also recording sessions for
National stations 2FM and Today FM.
The band were quickly signed to FIFA Records and have just returned from an 11-date tour of the UK where they played with fellow Irish rising stars, Tieranniesaur, and Irish legends, The Frank & Walters and Whipping Boy.
‘Incisions’ completes a hat trick of fine singles from Dead School to date, displaying the band’s trademark strengths of powerful post-punk riffs, dark and broody vocals that combine to elevate the song to a crescendo of feedback squall.
Dead School are set to record their debut album later in 2012 - in the meantime check out this latest release on FIFA Records and catch them at festivals in Ireland during the summer.
