DOLBRO DAN

Dolbro Dan is a strange name - it must mean something...? It does not. Originally it was derived from the household name for a resonator guitar - a Dobro - while the letter 'L' was included to prevent possible legal issues. It is a little known fact that the guitar Dan appears with on the cover of his album, Singin' Homemade Music, does not feature in any of the recordings.
Therefore a fitting acronym for such an ambiguous character would be: Doesn't Obliviously Like Being Remembered Offstage.
The fact is Dolbro Dan is a soft-spoken, retiring person who happens to sings for one simple reason and it isn't to acquire material wealth and celebrity status! It's to raise awareness by protesting; to help people see problems in our global society and to join in support of a technological revolution that would spell the end to war, poverty and politicians.
