Epoch Rising

Rock band Epoch Rising have been grabbing attention since 2007 with high-energy performances in the capital and around the country. 10, released on 28th August 2009, is the hooky and driving debut single from this Dublin based power trio who are: Seán Ahearne, Harry Prendergast and Laurence Moloney.

A launch night took place in Crawdaddy, Dublin, on the 28th August to mark the single release as well as the accompanying music video release on YouTube. The song will be sold digitally via www.epochrising.com and www.myspace.com/epochrising

The band was formed, way back when, by Seán and Harry who spent some time writing and developing the Epoch Rising sound. The lads also gigged as a two piece before being joined by Laurence in 2007.

Every Epoch Rising gig is a show. Live thematic visuals, from B-Movie, Anime and many other influences accentuate the vigorous performances. Seán is a dangerously dexterous guitarist who also sings and programs the synth and percussive loops used by the band. Harry’s exceptional and powerful vocals are complimented by his solid driving rhythm guitar. He also concocts the visual feast for the live shows. Laurence’s distinctive and hard-hitting style solidifies the Epoch Rising sound.

Driving rhythms, catchy melodies and soaring vocal harmonies over rock grooves and riffs are the band’s trademark, a trademark that is fervently demonstrated in the debut single 10.
