Geraldine’s first passion is song writing.
At age 14 she was a finalist in the "All Ireland Teenage Songwriter of the Year Competition"
At age 16 she won the "St. Michael's Secondary School Talent Contest" with one of her songs.
She sang in "The National Song Contest" when Johnny Logan went on to win Eurovision.
She began singing professionally, while still at school, when "Liam Harrison "Give it a lash Jack" asked her to join his band, “Fantasy” and since then Geraldine has performed with many Jazz/Pop bands over the years, working with well known musicians.
In 2005 she turned solo artist and in April 2006 released her cover album "Favourite Songs Collection". The album was featured as
"Album of the Week" on Dundalk 100FM and Tipperary Mid West Radio.
Geraldine’s current album “This Is the Life for Me” is her Debut Original Album. It has been receiving great reviews and got her signed to the UK Record Label Right Recordings. It contains her songs
“Let Love” which received an award at the Glinsk Song Contest 2008,
“You’re The One” which was song of the week on RTE Radio 1 2010 and performed live, by Geraldine, on the Pat Kenny Show and
“Cry My Way To Freedom”, a song written by her as a tribute to nelson Mandela and which is the single from the album. The accompanying video was shot in London 2008.
While recording this album, she received ongoing advice, direction and critique from Ireland’s most respected songwriter Jimmy MacCarthy.
She describes this second album as “an adult pop album with lyrical emphasis on life, love and freedom.”
She was chosen to represent Ireland at the Baltic Song Festival Final in Sweden July 2010, where she performed 2 of her original songs.
This year 2012 Geraldine’s highlight has been writing with 3X Grammy Award Nominated, No. 1 Hit Songwriter, Pamela Phillips Oland who’s songs have been covered by Frank Sinatra/Aretha Franklin/Whitney Houston to name but a few.
