If You Discover a Fire are a four-piece, alternative band based in Cork city. Their sound can be described as an intriguing combination of Trip-hop, Pop, Jazz and Classical music.

BIOGRAPHY:

Since forming in 2014, the quartet have been gigging extensively around the country and have performed in numerous venues including the Crane Lane Theatre Cork, the Workman's Club, Dublin and The Carnegie Arts Centre, Kenmare, among many others.

In January 2015, If You Discover a Fire recorded their debut, self-titled, EP. The five-track EP was launched in Cork's Unitarian Church in August 2015. Tracks from the EP have since been featured on RTE Radio 1 and Cork's 96fm, as well as various local and online radio stations. Several tracks from the EP will also feature as part of the soundtrack to Galway Film Centre's upcoming documentary which will be released in the coming months.

Aside from the release of their debut EP, 2015 has been a productive year for If You Discover a Fire. The group were selected as semi-finalists of RTE's 'Emerging Music Competition' with their track, 'January'. The group also performed at several festivals and showcases across the country including KFest in Kilorglin and 96/1 in Cork.
Currently, the group are planning a tour of the country for the coming months as well as several audio-visual projects and collaborations to exhibit their music.
