Tipperary based rock band, Jester are currently recording their debut album. Using unusual production methods & incorporating loops & effects to the new tracks, Jester aim to complete a commercial but distinctive record.

With catchy melodies, interesting arrangements & often, dark lyrics from front man Colly Demspey, Jester have had a great response to their original material. Released in May 2007 Jester’s debut single “Maria” enjoyed success with a chart place and extensive airplay. Today FM’s Ian Demspey was the first DJ to spin the release, of which Jester were very proud. “Maria” also topped the DownloadMusic.ie chart for two weeks, a feat that was achieved a few months later again when “Scream” was released (this offering was on digitial release only).

On the live front, Jester have been fortunate enough to have played an energetic 45 minute show @ Oxegen 06, and had the pleasure of supporting acts such as The Blizzards, Director, Paddy Casey, Mick Flannery, Aslan, Bonehead (ex Oasis) and received a very warm reception when they travelled to Swansea & Liverpool to play dates in Oct. '08/ Feb. '09. Jester firmly believe in hard work, and the band are continuously playing shows, developing their live show, sound and persona.

With the release of their debut album, 2009 plans to be a busy year for Jester who aim to tour Ireland extensively, giving them the opportunity to perform to a wider audience and hopefully make an impact on the Irish Music sccene.
