Released on September 5th, 2014, Kurtis' debut EP, CONFLICT, reached #1 on iTunes Ireland.

A product of working-class Dublin, Kurtis was raised on the music of his parents; Dylan, Springsteen, MJ. Those artists soundtracked every event, every crossroads, every day. An accomplished athlete his whole life, he gained interest from Premier League clubs such as Manchester Utd and Manchester City but at 16, Kurtis picked up a guitar and found his true calling. He taught himself guitar, keys, began to hone his songwriting craft and at 18, used soccer to gain a scholarship to the US to study music.

While in Nashville, Kurtis was mentored by Wayne DeGraw, multi-platinum artist Gavin DeGraw's father and manager. He started a band called Folks & Ghosts there, where they released the single "Ghost". "Ghost" was well received and entered the Top 250 on iTunes USA Singer-Songwriter Chart and Top 10 in the same chart on iTunes Ireland, an accomplishment for the then 21 year old, unsigned artist yet to play his own show. Over the course of the following months, Kurtis was taken under the wing of Wayne DeGraw, getting to know Gavin and the whole family, and gaining invaluable experience and knowledge of songwriting, performing and the music industry. Since then, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of The Fray, Ed Sheeran, Kodaline and OneRepublic.

In 2014, he returned home to start work on a debut solo EP, Conflict. Although recorded in Nashville, Conflict was released solely in Ireland and reached #1 on iTunes Ireland in September 2014. The lead single of which, War, was chosen as Song Of The Week on 98FM in February 2015 followed by Kurtis being chosen as Homegrown Hero on Today FM a few months later and surpassing the one million plays mark on Soundcloud.

Now 24, Kurtis has toured on both sides of the Atlantic, most notably headlining at The House Of Blues on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles and touring Ireland with Gavin James. He has released two singles and one EP to date.

Most recently, Kurtis has been commuting between Dublin and Los Angeles, working with various producers, label artists and songwriters. One such collaboration has seen the release of ‘Crossfire’. The song is a collaboration and co-release between Kurtis and LA based IDMA Award Winning DJ, tyDi. Through tyDi alter-ego, Wish I Was (Sony's Robbins Entertainment), Crossfire was released June 2nd 2015 and play-listed on Sirius XM Electro across the US the same day, making Kurtis the first Irish independent artist play-listed on Sirius XM Electro. So far it has received international radio play and critical acclaim, racking up over a quarter of a million Spotify plays. Crossfire gave Kurtis his second Song Of The Week on 98FM making him the first independent Irish artist to have two singles chosen as Song Of The Week on 98FM in a 6 month period. He returned home to Dublin after which to play The Ruby Sessions with RHODES and The Berkeley Fundraiser with friends Gavin James and Kodaline. Kurtis is planning his second EP release for September 2016 with Philip Magee (Kodaline/The Script/Sony) already on-board to produce it.
