Milan Jay
Galway, County Galway
Milan Jay have been described as one of the most eclectic bands in Ireland at the moment. They genre hop with ease with a sound that includes rock, electro and hip-hop. Their music has been likened to 90s indie stalwarts the Beta Band and Super Furry Animals and has received attention from the likes of Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music and The Irish Times Jim Carroll.
Their songs have been played on BBC 6 Music, Phantom 105.2, 2fm, 2xm and BBC Radio 1 Northern Ireland among others. They have been featured in The Irish Independent, The Irish Times and AU Magazine and on numerous blogs in Ireland and abroad. They were selected for the IMRO Showcase Tour 2011 in Ireland.
New single In The Shadows Of Footsteps is released on August 4th 2012. Download the song for free from www.soundcloud.com/milan-jay/in-the-shadows-of-footsteps

"Milan Jay is about feel-good, whip-smart funky indielectronica with an array of monster melodic hooks keeping it all in check" Jim Carroll - The Ticket
"Galway lads Milan Jay are experimental in its most interesting form, they genre hop with ease while retaining melody and maintaining the same “anything goes” attitude of the much missed Beta Band." echoparade.com
"..I have told pretty much everyone who asked me for new music recs in the last two weeks (and several who didn’t), y’all need to listen to this. Since their discography is tiny but very rich, like a Fabergé egg, I’m just going to talk about all of it." Now This Sound is Brave
