Nanobot are four friends from Kells who share a common interest in synth based music. They started out life as a guitar band, the first incarnation of the band dissolved on a high the day after supporting the wrens in Whelan’s in early 2007. Two years later the band reformed but the guitars have been almost entirely been replaced with various electronic synths, bleeps and blips .
Sparticles is a five track EP mostly about sleep, it precedes Nanobot’s debut album, expected later in the year.
With the exception of the drums, the E.P was self recorded. The drums were recorded in Sun Studios by John Henry. The E.P was mixed by Jimmy Eadie in Asylum studios, Dublin.
