Oleo Strut Collective
Kilkenny / Dublin, County Kilkenny
Born out of a love for old time American folk music, Kilkenny / Dublin based Oleo Strut Collective play their own brand of Roots Country / Blues. The band was formed in May, 2012 and have quickly built up a set of original material and found their way onto the stage at JJ Harlows in Roscommon, the Hole in the Wall, Kilkenny and supporting Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band in Cleere's, Kilkenny.
Taking their inspiration from Old Time Country and Folk all the way through Memphis Rockabilly and Chicago Blues to Punk Rock and so-called "Alt. Country" with a healthy shot of Gospel and Rock 'n' Roll, the main goal of the band is to create honest, passionate music and to play only music that they are passionate about.
All their songs are written from the heart and are influenced by true to life experiences.
