Prophets Poker Club

Folk // Dublin, Dublin

The Prophets Poker club began as a Polish/Irish pairing of Piotr Kolodziejski, the rythm guitarist and Aeda Cafferkey, vocalist. They have been gigging and writing together for the past three years and as they have continued, so too the group has increased in number, with the addition of Mateusz Polak, the percussionist and
Maciej Roman, the bass player. The type of music they perform would be a mix of Irish and Polish folk music. Apart from the normal pub gigs in the city centre they played the "Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity", which is a Polish televised event along with an event for the recent flood victims in southern Poland held in The Mezainne bar in town.
The latest additions entitled "Zeitgeist" and "Statue of Liberty" would be the closest in essence to the group's current live performance. All four members have various musical backgrounds as is reflected in the progressive movement of their sound.
