Strawboy

Strawboy is a recording artist from the west of Ireland creating dreamlike songs about weird myths, gnostic visions and radical mystery. He aims to inspire spiritual revolution through esoteric symbolism in pop music. His first album Tidal Islands was an exploration into psychedelic folk and fourth-world ambience.

His follow-up Ithaca Regained is a deeply-produced travelogue inspired by Homer's Odyssey and Joyce's Ulysses that was six years in the making. The first two singles are out now with the full album to follow in Spring 2023. He divides his time between Connemara and Brighton where he has recently returned to performing live with a new band featuring members of local psychedelic luminaries Jouis and Rokurokubi.
