THE ANGEL PIER
COUNTY DUBLIN
The Angel Pier finished as a band in December 2009 & are no longer active.
Three parts Irish to one part Canadian, The Angel Pier kicked off 2009 with a storming show to a packed Whelans in Dublin.
In early May 2009 they headlined the 'Best Of' IMRO Showcase Tour gig at The Village in Dublin before appearances at The Great Escape in Brighton and Liverpool Sound City.
Fresh from soaking up an amazing reception on the New Sounds Stage at the Oxegen Festival in July 2009, the band released a limited 7" recorded with Jimmy Eadie (Asylum Studios - Jape, David Kitt, Valerie Francis, One Day International). The single's been getting airplay on 2FM, Today FM and Phantom and about it Hot Press say, 'flashes of beautiful pop-driven melancholy".
