Since forming in 2011 ,The Buachaills have gone from being an informal session group to playing in Croke Park for the All Ireland football final. They are now one of the most sought after Trad and Folk bands in Ireland and have played many noted venues such as Thomond Park and Fraher Field in Waterford.
The band comprises of Eoin Murphy on Vocals, Guitar and Mandolin , Aaron Dolan on Uilleann Pipes, Whistles and Vocals , James Fleming on Bass, Guitar and Vocals and Chris Carey Drums
The band who have been described as “ The Mumford and sons of Irish trad” ( Evening Echo) bring an energy to their live performance that has every audience buzzing with excitement. Their love of Irish ballads and culture is plain to be seen while they bring this tradition to new audiences both young and old.
Sharing stages with the likes of The High Kings , Finbarr Furey , The Wolfe Tones and Bressie these lads are known to have audiences of all ages on their feet.
To quote from the University of Los Angeles news paper The Daily Bruen “Nothing can quite replace the experience of seeing this band live. The bandmates on stage play faster, louder and less restrained when they have an audience dancing in front of them. The band’s reverence for the musical style of the past meshes with the members’ musical style to create a set of songs that really doesn’t sound like anything being produced in the United States at the moment.”
