The Fundamentals

The Fundamentals are a 5 piece popular rock group from Kilkenny featuring David Dooley on vocals, Eoin Drennan on guitar, David Long on drums, Jerry Bennett on bass and Robbie Larkin on keyboards. While the group are original in their musical style, they have been compared to U2, Keane, O.A.R. and The Killers.

In the last 12 months the group have extensively toured Ireland , promoted their debut single “Brother” which reached No. 1 in the downloadmusic charts last November, supported some of Irelands top acts including The Republic of Loose, Delorentos and Director.

Four of their songs from their debut album “Past and Present Collide” were featured on RTE 2’s hit Cannes nominated drama “Aisling’s Diary”, which was shown in Ireland and in Portugal through an earlier incarnation of the hit show called “Flatmates”.

The Fundamentals have many notable supporters including The Strawberry Alarm Clock’s Niamh Crowley who says “they’re deadly!” and HotPress’s Jackie Hayden also described their song “Vegas Sun”, which was the lead track on the top five compilation album “Our Space” as “An outstanding track”.

The group are currently on tour promoting their latest release "For you to fall".
