The Grunts are an Indie 3 piece from Cork, Ireland

The single is taken from our forthcoming album to be released in Dec 2019.

The Grunts are well known on the Irish Tour Scene
Playing such venues as Whelans , Roisin Dubh and the Crane Lane.

New York is their best loved destination...
Playing the Trash bar in Brooklyn, The Bowery Electric and Arlenes Grocey in Lower East Side Manhatten in 2009..

Closer to Home the Grunts have built up a loyal following in London and have put on shows in ,The Boogaloo, Camden , Madam Jo Jo's (Soho) ,Hoxton Underbelly and the Monto Water rats.

The Grunts are a three piece Cork indie band. Their debut album released in 2010 as Jackie Hayden in Hot Press wrote 'evokes the raw earthy innocence of early REM, Echo and the Bunnymen et al. Of the eleven tracks, five are re-mastered from previously released EPs. 'Party Weirdo' is punk done medium rare, and there's punch and pungency in 'Crawl Right Back' and 'New York Smile'. 'Every strange Trip' has jangly echoes of The Byrds, a floating psychedelic subtlety pervades the very early. very -ish 'Cruelest Touch', especially Liam O'Shea's vocals, and the Echo-like 'Summer Must Break' coasts along with a modest swagger. Just the job, all told.

Since 2010 The Grunts have released 3 EPs including Into Submission, What goes on and recently NYC Woman on Inner Chapter records.

A new album is finally set for release on Inner Chapter records in March 2016.
