The New Transmission returns in 2012 with their second album Home, a collection of songs on the importance of living in the moment.
The New Transmission 's first album, By Your Side, was released in 2007. The album, co-written with French guitarist Olivier Marly, confronts themes of loss, of relationships and of the healing effects of time. In 2008, the song Connect was voted song of the week by listeners to Dublins Phantom FM. Hotpress dubbed Message 'a tasty love ballad that has the smell of a hit single about it'.
Produced by Parisian musician and producer Alain Man, Home delivers .
Dream describes those days that appear only a few times in each life, days in which everything that is positive falls into place-- the birth of a child, the day we realize weve fallen in love. Hotel room paints the home away, the place that allows us to return to ourselves by escaping everything we know. Paris-born and Dublin-based, singer/song writer Jo Carcone considers the album a work that could not have been made five years ago, or two years ago. 'These are eleven songs that are close to my heart because they have transformed and kept pace alongside my personal evolution'
Home will be released on 25th January, and The New Transmission return to stage in April 2012, with Dublin shows at Bruxells and Crawdaddy.
