Originally from Peterborough in the U.K. Family roots brought Johno Leader & Peter Donohoe to Ireland, where they met Ben ‘Beats’ McCarthy.
The award winning trio, based in Co.Cavan found their alternative indie sound & produced their self titled, ten track debut album, mastered by Fergal Davies (Muse, Le Galaxie, Ben Folds) to much critical acclaim. Nationwide media triumphed the independent release.
Celebrated Irish D.J, Dave Fanning added ‘The Game’ to his 2fm playlist & Dan Hegarty championed the melodic ‘Robot Song’ featuring the track in his ‘Top 100’. Further spot plays were enjoyed on RTE1, Beat 102 & a live recording with Aer Tv ‘Back To Basic’s’ on Today Fm. The band were also featured in ‘Best New Irish Bands’ on leading music blog Nialler9.com by Public choice to mention just a few.

A band consistently 'On the new music radar’ owing to hard work, extensive touring & energetic live gigs, 2013 welcomed the band’s U.K debut. London shows included the famed Hope & Anchor in Islington & Proud Camden to name but a few. A nationwide Irish tour followed with a number of summer festival performances at Knockanstockan, Life, Vantastival & many more. In May 2013 T.R.G joined hot american act RDGLDGRN on the Irish leg of their European tour.
Video releases to date include the animated ‘Another Wasted Line’ & current single ‘Don’t Look Down’ which was released to a whirlwind of rave reviews. The accompanying video pushing the band’s creativity to the forefront. Already noted for their audio production, the original, homemade film was produced with a budget defying €30 & some friends, quite literally lending a hand! It’s exclusive premiere on Muzu.Tv gaining 13k hits in 48 hrs and finding itself among good company in the Top 10 Irish Music Videos 2013 voted by the Nialler9.com Readers Poll & again inclusion in Goldenplec.com 'Best of 2013'.
Presently, the band are again recording under the guide of lead vocalist & producer Johno Leader at his studio 'The Beast Suite' which can boast the early recordings of teen sensation & fellow Cavan band, The Strypes to it's client bank.
T.R.G's eagerly anticipated second album is due for release 2014 & the band look forward to playing their new material to their ever growing listenership, currently taking festival bookings, album tour dates to be announced early 2014.
