The Star Department are a new two piece who have a burning desire to make music full of pop hooks, inventive arrangements & imaginative lyrics while still aiming to capture the heart of the listener.

They're debut album 'The Pea Green Boat' is very near completion & will be released in February '10 on Toy Ship Records. The band are currently rehearsing with new live members & will be gigging extensively from Autumn '09 including the CMJ Festival in New York (www.cmj.com)

The band were chosen as one of Today FM's (Irish National Radio) 'Rising Bands of 2007'

Their song "Embers" being chosen for the the Aer lingus in-flight track-list.
