White McKenzie are a new Irish band of real substance; having only started playing live a little over a year ago, White McKenzie have already played all over Ireland, built a steadily growing fan base, released a credible 7 track E.P. (entitled 'Absence') and scheduled a very productive year end to 2012, with live performances, new releases and music videos already underway.
In only their third live performance, the Dublin 6 piece found themselves in the Grand Final of the Shercock Battle of the Bands in 2011, to compete for a place to play the worlds prestigious music festival, Glastonbury. Having narrowly missed out on the top prize, White McKenzie continued to earnestly work and grow into the assured form they now take. The music maintains its own identifiable sound, despite being compared to elements of acts such as: Editors, Pearl Jam, Interpol and The National. White McKenzie have a very bright future ahead.
