2010 is shaping up to be a great year for ZEALOTS. Hot on the heels of the release of their critically acclaimed debut E.P “Flowers for My Broken Head” in October of 2009, the band were awarded the coveted title of “Phantom FM’s Next Big Thing”. They are currently hard at work on their debut album which will arrive squinting into the daylight towards the end of this year.

ZEALOTS sound has been compared to Depeche mode, Interpol, Stereo Lab and Wire although it is difficult to pinpoint a direct influence. Theirs is an undeniably unique concoction, capturing both vulnerability and bombastic grace in a vice like grip. Ruth Kennington's angelic vocals drape over soundscapes that can shift from expansively liberating to claustrophobically paranoid.

ZEALOTS have had rapturous responses from the growing crowds at home and away and are steadily building a loyal fan base. The gigs are intense, energetic, vibrant and above all else loud as hell.
