In proper Belfast student band fashion the idea for the 4amclub came about from a drunken conversation among strangers, "I've a mate who wants to be in a band he plays guitar", "class I'm a singer" and the stars had aligned.
In the summer of 2021 most of the heavy lockdown rules had been lifted and people could start doing people stuff again, it was then that Luke Bell (lead singer) started meeting up with Daniel Coulter (lead guitar) the contact he got from the bar to play some music. At these jam sessions they shared ideas for songs they were working on and pretty soon they created a finished catalogue of music. They played these songs for friends at house parties and loved the feeling of sharing their original music; since then they have become a 4-piece band that has released music and played gigs all over Northern Ireland including selling out the 'Wee bar' in January 2024 and playing The Belfast Empire.
The group plans to release their debut EP 'You Still Up?' in 2025 instigated by the release of their fastest growing single Weekend Getaway 31/01/2025, the music is exciting and the band's live shows reflect this. Currently the band is comprised of Luke Bell, Daniel Coulter, Pody Muldoon and any drummer that will take them. The group currently have their biggest gig ever coming up 10/04/2025 that will see them headlining the esteemed Belfast venue The Mandela Hall.
