AILSHA is an Irish singer-songwriter based in Dublin.
Growing up, AILSHA took an interest in video game music. At an early age she taught herself to record her own compositions, and in her teenage years began to write and record songs about her life. She explored a variety of genres, being influenced the most by cinematic, symphonic metal, electronic and traditional Irish music.
Today AILSHA's signature sound integrates her love of video game music and the supernatural with commercial synthesised and acoustic sounds. Her wry lyrics describe her tragic yet comical experiences with failed romances, existentialism and current affairs.
Venues AILSHA has performed in include Whelan's, The Grand Social, Fibber Magee's, The Wild Duck, The Harbour Bar, Buck Mulligan's, The Lighthouse, and more. She recently sold-out a headline gig at The Workman's Club.
Coming from a musical family, AILSHA has toured with her parents in their family band as a percussionist and tin whistle player, selling out venues like The National Concert Hall and St. Peter's Church at the Drogheda Fleadh Festival.
Her backing vocals feature on several EPs including Storm by Alta Cura, and Rita Connolly Sings Shaun Davey Christmas Songs.
In 2020 one of her childhood dreams came true as she graduated from Pulse/Griffith College with a qualification in Music Production for Video Games.
Her latest single 'Ghosted' is out on 23rd October 2020.
