Pop // Bray, Wicklow // She/Her

AILSHA is Ireland's most well known ‘Pop Goth.’ She comes from a prolific musical family (her father, Shaun Davey (The Brendan Voyage), mother, Rita Connolly (Granuaile), and sister, Cathy Davey (Tales of Silversleeve)). Voted as one of Ireland's 'Most Promising' and 'Ground-Breaking Female Artists' in the Hot Press Hotties 2022, the Wicklow singer’s signature bubblegum pop sound with wry lyrics has drawn comparisons to Lily Allen, The Divine Comedy and Danny Elfman.

Securing headlines around the country in venues like The Workman's Club, Fibber Magee's and Bello Bar this year, AILSHA is no stranger to lives shows and looks forward to playing at Indiependence Festival 2022 (with more festival slots to be announced).

Still within her first year of releasing music, AILSHA's single releases have seen support internationally (EARMILK, Digital Tour Bus, Popmuzik and more), nationally ('Track of the Week' on TodayFM, 'One to Watch' on Spin1038 and more) and her debut single 'FBOY' was #1 in the Irish iTunes Charts.

AILSHA worked as a professional makeup artist for years while gigging around Dublin. In 2020 she bid farewell to the beauty industry to pursue a career as a composer. Shortly after graduating from Griffith/Pulse College with a qualification in Music Production for Video Games she became the official composer for Big Brother: The Game.

"From recently fulfilling her childhood dream of being a composer for video games to creating intricate soundscapes that reveal her musical potential, AILSHA is making a unique space for herself in the pop scene" - EARMILK

"Glittering, eclectic and always with inspiration from the games and the world of fairy tales, AILSHA makes unique pop music" - POPMUZIK

"Ailsha's lyrics will no doubt gain fans for her playful tone yet vulnerable self-reflection" - Hot Press Magazine
