AILSHA

Metal // Dublin, Dublin // She/Her

Meet AILSHA, the 'Irish Princess of Gaeilgoths'. With an impressive streak of six consecutive releases featured on BBC Radio 1, she has established herself as a leading force in Ireland's alternative music scene. She is known for her vibrant aesthetic and playful performances as well as her ability to quickly switch between clean and harsh vocals.

She has left a mark on renowned stages, including Electric Picnic and Indiependence Festival. A recent sold-out headline show with MCD Productions further underscores her growing prominence. Her support slot for WARGASM (UK) during their Venom Tour in November 2023 marked another significant milestone in AILSHA's career. She recently played her first international show at Nels Hylton's Upgrade in The Old Blue Last in London.

Enter 'Go Tobann,' AILSHA's latest single, which secured a commendable 2nd place in Ireland's Eurosong National Final. Beyond accolades, the track has achieved international acclaim, landing Spotify playlists including Viral Top 50 Ireland and claiming the #1 position in the iTunes Rock Charts. However, 'Go Tobann' transcends its musical success, embodying a satirical commentary on Ireland's Irish language education system. This narrative struck a chord globally, trending three times on social media and inspiring individuals worldwide to engage with the language and effecting a transformative impact on Ireland's Eurosong entries.

After her second packed show with MCD Productions in The Grand Social, AILSHA will embark on her debut tour with dates in Galway and Brighton and headline slots at festivals in Glasgow and Donegal (more shows TBA).

AILSHA is also a radio presenter on RTÉ2XM where she hosts 'AMPLIFY' which showcases alternative music from Ireland and beyond with a focus on heavier music styles.
