Amasis is the coolest Irish pop/R&B band . Their latest song "Never Yours" entered the competition and won them an award as Most Promising New Artist 2010

Amasis was formed in 2008, when all members met at a leading Dublin music school. The original members were Nofe Liberty, Felix Liberty, Les Stapleton and Fergal Toohey. They spent the first year writing and recording their own material and worked very hard on trying to define their own sound.
In August 2009 band released its first single "Contagious" and the track won a lot of airplay on regional and national Irish radio stations. They then did a number of showcase gigs in Ireland and the UK and were advised to enter as nominees for the Meteor Award Most Promising New Artist 2010.
Prior to this they just finished work on their new single "Never Yours". The song was written, recorded and produced by Les Stapleton and Fergal Toohey and the guys mixed the track in Sweden with a Grammy award winning mix engineer. Then the track was mastered by Beyonce's mastering engineer. The song made the top 10 in the Meteor's selection and a panel of leading music industry professionals placed it in the top 5 as a main nomination.
The Hotpress magazine and many other national and regional radio stations became favourites of the song and gave it a lot of support. Amasis popularity in the next few days went through the roof with support from all over the country and was a particular favourite among the ethnic communities in Ireland. Thanks to their numerous votes, Amasis has won the award!!!!
The band is currently inundated with requests from Ireland's leading radio and TV stations for interviews and live performances. Their current activities are all displayed on our Wall.

Les and Fergal are multi-instumentalists and have an extensive background and knowledge in both music production and live music performance. They are the songwrites and the producers of the band.
Nofe and Felix Jnr. are children of an African superstar Felix Liberty. Born in America, they have been living in Ireland for a few years. Nofe has been heavily involved in music, acting and modeling (she won Miss Africa Ireland 2006), Felix has joined the band during one of the earlier gig's for a bit of Rap and won the hearts of fans, so he is now a full time band member.
Danielle is the secong original vocalist, she was with Amasis since the very start. Unfortunately she temporarily moved to the States in 2009, and missed the release of Never Yours and the success at Meteors. Amasis are delighed to have her back for good.
Amasis is gearing up for their album launch performance at Oxegen 2010. They are taking some time to write and record the material for their debut album and, with a little patience, they indend to exceed all of their fan's expectations!
