“It cared for me, when everything was dust and caving in...”
This lyric from Atelica’s first single “Forget My Place” best describes how music has been a true lifeline for this artist. It is a love song to music.
The name comes from the Greek word atelic, which is to find joy in an activity that has no finish point and is done for it’s own sake - a fundamental value of music.
Having already garnered huge experience performing and songwriting in bands and session work on the Irish music scene, this is Atelica’s first venture into production.
The debut single “Forget My Place”, was written, performed and recorded by Atelica with the incredible talents of Ger Mc Donnell on mixing duties and Fergal Davis on Mastering.
Big synths, heavy beats and layers of vocals, the songs dip in and out of genres, but are mostly influenced by Rock, Dark Pop and Soundscape.
“Forget My Place” was independently released in April 2021 and the album is forthcoming later this year.
