Cork born, Galway based, Aubrey Hennessy is part of the emerging Irish indie-folk scene. Taking inspiration from artists such as Lisa Hannigan and Junior Brother, Aubrey's music is composed of nostalgic lyrics and close harmonies with a somewhat Irish flair.
Aubrey released her first single "Anseo" as Gaeilge in 2020 and continued to release throughout that year before the return of live gigs. She has been gigging steadily since then, around Ireland, in venues including The Róisín Dubh and Winthrop Avenue.
Often joined by her brother Pádraig on bass and Ella Partington on fiddle, Aubrey is currently gigging and working on releases for 2023.
