Bad Fit

Indie // Belfast, Antrim

Bad Fit make harmony heavy, glittering guitar music with a beat you can dance to - and they are only getting badder.

Known locally as ‘the baddest band in Belfast’, the fourpiece consists of Grace Loughrey, Danny McConaghie, Pando and Megan O’Kane. All hailing from the north coast of Northern Ireland, they came together in 2015 united by a love for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and early 00’s sad boy punk. With debut single Strong Forever, Bad Fit have defined a pop rock sound that combines their diverse musical backgrounds surprisingly well: members have performed in bands including (hardcore) Lantern for a Gale, (punk) Vanilla Gloom, (pop) The Salt Flats and (rap) Bee Mick See. Their influences sit somewhere in the middle of Alvvays, Best Coast, Weezer and Wavves (amongst other bands with a predilection for the letter v).

Capturing the summer vibes of the single, the video for Strong Forever was recorded over a rare weekend on Rathlin Island (off the Antrim coast) where it didn’t rain
