BLÁNID

Indie // Castlerock, Derry // she/her

Rising indie-folk artist BLÁNID has been making waves across the UK and beyond.

Her introspective lyricism and hauntingly powerful vocals have garnered her plays on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, RTÉ Radio 1 and more; TV appearances on RTÉ 1's The Late Late Show, All Arts TV & PBS; and featured vocalist slots on both Netflix’s ‘The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’, and 2023’s ‘Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin’ video game.

Fresh off her UK tour with American folk icon Judy Collins, BLÁNID is a seasoned live performer. In 2023 she played major Celtic folk festivals TradFest & Celtic Connections, and supported Eddi Reader, KÍLA, Sharon Shannon, Ciaran Lavery, Rónán Ó Snodaigh and more.

Starting strong in 2024, she showcased at Whelan’s ‘Ones to Watch’ in January, featured solo on RTÉ TV 1’s Fingal Sessions presented by Fiachna Ó Braonáin, and was selected by The Ivors Academy to play an International Women’s Day collaboration with Sofar Sounds.
