BLÁNID

Indie // Castlerock, Derry // she/her

BLÁNID is a London-based Irish indie-folk artist, whose rich, transcendent vocals and profound storytelling have the power to transport you from grief to ecstasy – and everywhere in between.

Most captivating in a live setting, BLÁNID’s songwriting is a cathartic outpouring. Moving dynamically from a whisper to a cry, she uses her voice to great effect – playing with sound, colour, and texture to take the audience with her on an emotional journey, often eliciting tears.

Since her 2021 debut, she’s garnered airplay across BBC Radio (R1, R6, Wales, Ulster and more) and RTÉ Radio 1 & 2XM. A featured vocalist on Netflix’s anime The Witcher, and World of Warhammer video game, BLÁNID has also played on The Late Late Show (2023) and The Fingal Sessions (2024). A consummate performer, she’s graced major stages like Celtic Connections and TradFest, supported folk legend Judy Collins on tour, and performed at The National Gallery with Isabella Summers (Florence and the Machine), and at the Irish Embassy.

Recognised within the industry, BLÁNID was selected for the inaugural Ivors Academy x YouTube Songwriting Camp and Sofar Sounds collaboration in 2024. She has showcased at Your Roots Are Showing (2025), Whelan’s Ones to Watch (2024), and international festivals like Output Belfast, Focus Wales, and Future Echoes (2022). In 2024, she signed with Mahogany for song distribution, was handpicked for a chamber choir Abbey Road session with Jacob Collier, and contributed to a Guinness World Record-breaking streamed concert celebrating female songwriters.

Named in The Irish World’s ‘Ones to Watch’ 2024 and recently featured in Spotify’s Most Beautiful Songs playlist, she has amassed over a million streams.

BLÁNID is currently finishing writing her debut album, set for release in early Summer 2026.
