Indie // Castlerock, Derry // she/her

Singer/songwriter BLÁNID is a fresh new voice on the indie-folk scene. Hailing from Castlerock in Northern Ireland, she has a hauntingly powerful voice and confessional style.

BLÁNID’s debut single "Fool’s Gold” released in March 2021 was met with critical acclaim, with plays on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Ulster & Foyle, BBC Radio Kent, RTÉ 2XM, and 4 plays on BBC Radio 1 (Power Down Playlist & The Chillest Show), where it was described as a ‘cinematic masterpiece’ alongside her ‘completely captivating’ voice. BLÁNID also appeared as a featured vocalist on Netflix’s anime Witcher film soundtrack (The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf).

Her most recent single “Dead Men Dancing”, has been featured on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Kent, BBC Radio Ulster and RTÉ 2XM. Already in 2022, BLÁNID has an international showcase in Sweden (with a feature on Swedish national TV), and performances at Output Belfast and Focus Wales under her belt. With two more singles, an EP, a support slot with Liam Ó Maonlaí, and a UK tour with Judy Collins coming later this year, BLÁNID is “well on her way to stardom” (Earmilk).

Notable co-writes in 2022: Ciaran Lavery, Saint Sister, Rob Davies (Kylie Minogue, Mud), Matty Benbrook (Paolo Nutini)
