Bowden

Indie // Clonmel, Cork

Bowden are an alternative rock band built on a simple belief: live impact matters more than hype. Their rise has been driven by packed rooms and word of mouth — from Whelan’s in Dublin to Mike The Pies in Listowel, Fred Zeppelin’s in Cork, and Bakers in Clonmel,. Festival appearances at Boyle Arts Festival, Enter The Night, and When Next We Meet have seen the band pull audiences that rival main stage acts.

2025 marked a breakthrough year. With over 100 radio plays, including RTÉ 2FM, and support from Hot Press, RTÉ, and IMRO, the band stepped into wider view with the release of their debut album Glacier — a record that captures their live intensity while expanding their sonic ambition.
Critics quickly took notice. Earmilk, that North American music bible, described the album as having “no filler… designed for those who want immersion over immediacy,” while Hot Press, Music News, and Fame Magazine highlighted the band’s emotional depth, precision, and quiet confidence. Germany’s Tonspion featured the album’s lead single Be Your Own God.

Produced by Christian Best (Mick Flannery, Lisa Hannigan, Susan O’Neill), Glacier is a slow-burning, cinematic record that signals a band with clear identity and intent.

Hailing from Cork, Bowden have built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most compelling new live acts since forming in 2022. Their 2025 Faster EP was named EP of the Year by The Cork Playlist, ahead of The Cliffords and The Guilteens.
Having shared stages with Pillow Queens, Skinner, Leevy, and Charcoal Greys, Bowden aren’t just building momentum — they’re building something that lasts.
