“Brigid is great songwriter with a voice that can break your heart at 30 paces.” Ralph McLean BBC Radio Ulster.
Hailing from Downpatrick, critically acclaimed artist Brigid O’Neill is a genre-spanning songsmith whose evergreen music appeals to multiple generations. An immensely gifted story teller, her latest album ‘Touchstone’ is crammed with confidence, charisma and choruses you’ll be whistling for months and sees her effortlessly weave elements of folk, country and more into her relatable tales of happiness, heartbreak and the human condition.
Over the last few years Brigid has performed everywhere from the world famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to the iconic Grand Opera House in Belfast and played with like-minded artists such as Iain Archer, Paul Brady, Eddi Reader, Duke Special and Frances Black, along the way. Her musical story thus far is also littered with accolades and a personal highlight for Brigid was receiving the prestigious PRS Foundation Award this year to attend the Folk Alliance International Conference in Montreal.
With the follow up to ‘Touchstone’ currently in development stages, and a successful series of shows right across Ireland and the UK so far in 2019 (supported by the Arts Council Of Northern Ireland) Brigid looks destined to make even more new fans and friends over the months ahead.
