By Chance where born off the back of a chance encounter!
Both of the bands lead vocalists; Alan Donnelly and Tony
Cunningham, entered a national talent competition as solo
acts. It was during this process that the two where teamed
up to work together. It was soon clear that two had
something special as a musical partnership and was
suggested that they progress together as a duo. Since then
they have continued working together on various projects.
They have now begun the important task of forging their own
sound and musical identity. What began as an acoustic two
piece has now morphed into a full band. Later recruiting the
services of a lead guitarist Ross Donnelly (brother to Alan)
and drummer Paul Ridgeway to add another dimension to
their sound.
“Impossible is Nothing” is the first recording from the duo.
Alan, a graduate from BCFE with a diploma in Music
production recording, mixed and mastered the track in his
own personal studio. It was during this time that he and Tony
enlisted lead guitarist Ross Donnelly into the band. The track
is an upbeat number exhibiting the bands energetic
demeanour, featuring Tony and Alan going back and forth on
lead vocals. Within it's first week of going online the video for
the song gained almost 1,400 views on Youtube and was
played to great response on local radio and nightclubs. The
lyrics were written by Alan and musical arrangement by both
Alan and Tony.
