From Dublin Ireland, Caedan are traditional Irish singer Caoimhe Hogarty and musician and song-writer Maurice McGrath.
Caoimhe Hogarty is a graduate from the Traditional music performance course at Ballyfermot College in Dublin and previously, the Popular Music performance course (Rock School). Caoimhe developed an interest in traditional singing in her late teens. She is an exceptional singer and is blessed with the ability to take a song and make it her own. The late Frank Harte broadened her interest in sourcing and collecting folk songs and keeping them alive.
Maurice McGrath is a songwriter and musician from Dublin, Ireland. His songs are inspired by Irish folk traditions. His interest in history feeds into many of the song subjects and stories. He was lead guitarist for alternative guitar-pop band The Forget-Me-Nots who signed a Major record deal with Columbia/Sony records in the nineties and worked with producers like Mitch Easter (REM) and Pete Smith (Sting).
