CHRONONAUT

Chrononaut are a hybrid grunge band from Dublin and Kildare, Ireland. Featuring members from Witchkicker, Angry Chair, Cell Games and Sister Odd. Their sound has been described as crooked, haunting and defiant. A fusion of dark, twisted guitars intertwined with haunting melodies and surreal imagery.

Formed in 2019, they quickly developed a sound of their own, and released three digital tracks in 2020 which were recorded in Trackmix Studios. Their most recent outings have been in Drop Dead Twice in June as part of BIMM Live 2022, supporting local bands New Valley Wolves and Idle Discourse in Whelan’s upstairs on March 5th, and in February they took part in Metal to the Masses in Fibbers. They have been featured and named Local Band of the Week on Dublin radio show Put the Metal On for their debut single Enemy. Their third release Play Dead has been played on local underground shows Little Plastic Tapes and featured on the Pentagrimes Mixtape.

Upcoming shows include support for Strangers With Guns and Vendetta Love in Whelan's this July, Later in the summer they'll be be in Cork supporting Red Sun Alert. They are currently recording their EP for release early 2023.
