Clara Byrne

Alternative // Dundalk, Louth // She/her

A socialist singer songwriter from Bray. She seeks her lyrical inspiration in the world around her and seeks solitude from that world in the music she creates.

She has been fortunate enough to support a wealth of Irish talent including most recently Altan in the Pavilion theatre, as well as Wallis Bird in The Half Moon Theatre in the Cork Opera house, Mick Pyro in Whelans, and Cathy Davey and Neil Hannon in The Workmans Club.

Her debut album "Handstitched" features talented musicians from Irish bands like Thumper, Enemies and Chief Keegan. The album was finished remotely during the first lockdown and was waiting for the right time to be released. Thanks to a successful Fundit campaign, Clara released her album July 2022 to a warm reception.
