Con Éire and the Belfast Funk Foundation are an 8 piece fusion group blending Funk, Neo-Soul, Nu-Jazz, RnB, Hip-Hop and House - they draw influences from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Kokoroko, D’angelo, Steve Lacy and Haitus Kaiyote. Belfast Funk Foundation (FKA Belfast busking band) have played hundreds of gigs in Northern Ireland, developing into a rhythm powerhouse with their distinctive brass ensemble and earned a massive following through busking on the streets of Belfast. After a stunning debut headline show in Ulster Sports Club and launching 3 singles with producer Eulogy Beats in 2022, Con Éire (FKA Con and The Éire Jordans) took a break from releasing music to re-invent his sound, teasing new material at the Output Festival emerging artists stage in 2023. In February 2024 we performed at Soultrane (N.ireland's first ever soul, jazz, funk festival) with our most refined original music to date with ear-worm inducing vocal hooks, brass lines and grooves. You can check out the latest live session of Con Éire and the Belfast Funk Foudation on 1st Port of Call’s new Instagram and YouTube channel.
