If there is such a thing as a Galway ‘4 piece Supergroup’, Cranky Face just might be it, being made up of guitarist Stephan Curran, Vocalist/guitarist Simon Noble, drummer Mosey Byrne and Bassist Colin Clancy. Their debut EP ‘We should hate’ was released in November 2015. It gained rave reviews throughout Ireland, drawing comparisons to Nirvana, the Pixies, Supergrass and The Raconteurs. Cranky Face toured around Ireland throughout 2016 playing celebrated sets at The Roisin Dubh, Whelans and The Body and Soul festival. In October that year they recorded the Bowdown EP. This EP was released in November 2016 to great critical acclaim. 2017 has been another busy year with appearances at the Vantastival, Townland’s Carnival, Body & Soul, Swell and Electric picnic festivals. The band are set to release their new single ‘No Good/Vultures’ in February 2018.
