Dexterity is an up and coming alt/prog rock group consisting of lead songwriter and front-woman
Sarah Dexter, taking inspiration from progressive metal groups such as Periphery and Animals as
Leaders and combing their rhythmic elements with the rock music he grew up with inspired by
groups such as Biffy Clyro, System of a Down and Modest Mouse. Dexterity emphasizes how
unconventional rhythms and song structure can appeal naturally to the listener by combining
those aspects with flowing melodies and grooves you could dance to. The backline provided by
bassist Oisín Murray, drummer Freddie Trebble and guitarist Cian Somers ground the grooves in each of the songs to make the complicated rhythm and structure feel natural.
