Hailing from Dublin, Don’t Tell Mum are a four-piece Indie / Pop / Rock band comprising of lead singer John McCabe, guitarist Jake McGuinness, bassist Jordan McGovern and drummer Johnny Roberts.
Whilst their sound takes influence from the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, Arctic Monkeys and The Wombats, their own style is built upon driving rhythms layered with hook-filled melodies.
Since the band's formation in 2020, Don’t Tell Mum have taken to big stages whilst joining legendary Irish rock band, Aslan, on their 40 year anniversary tour. The 3Olympia (Dublin), Cork Opera House (Cork), Ballykeefe Amphitheatre (Kilkenny), and Leisureland (Galway) are a few mentionable venues that the band have experienced. The band also performed at the inaugural Otherside Festival in Slane, alongside names like The Scratch, Soda Blonde and Saint Sister.
With only two singles released prior to a four-track EP titled ‘Running Riot’, the band sold out their first headline gig at Dublin’s iconic Whelan’s after just a day. With more new music on the horizon for early 2023, Don’t Tell Mum headlined a sold out night at The Grand Social on the 25th of February to kick off 2023 before a gig packed summer across the Island.
