DST

DST hail from Drogheda in Ireland, a town just north of Dublin. Having bounced off each other in various musical guises over the years, the four decided that there was enough untapped talent between them to get a good band together and start writing some proper music in the Summer of 2008. They immediately recorded and self produced a demo album which received praise among listeners and in the press. It's exploratory nature struck a chord with listeners fusing modern pop/rock elements with a nod to classic elements from the 50's through to the 80's. The subsequent single "If You Ever" came in at number 2 in the Irish Download charts.

Since then they have headlined a number of big nights in Dublin's top venues Whelans, The Village and The Academy leading up to their being requested to tour in the New York where they headlined a number of top venues in Greenwich Village, Brooklyn and Queens. Charged and enthused following the reception they received in the States they returned to Ireland to immediately set about writing for their new EP and single which is due to hit stores in Summer 2010.
