Dylan Kearns is an Irish singer-songwriter who likes to conceptualise and explore a different notion to others.
Drawn heavily from 70s and 80s synth-infused pop that still influences so many to this day, Dylan released his debut single ‘She’s Like A Drug’ in early '22 which welcomed us all into his musical mind and musings.
'She's Like a Drug' has been nominated for 'Irish Song of the Year' by Hotpress and the track featured heavily across radio playlists with Jenny Greene being one but to name a few to feature the track on her 2FM show.
For fans of David Bowie to The Weeknd, Kearns wants to reel in two eras of music and blend them both
together and has been perfecting his craft in the Dublin scene before lockdown hit us all hard. This gave Dylan the chance to reimagine his craft and start releasing his own music fully.
In his most recent single "When the Fire Stops" the 80s influence is immediately prevalent, with catchy guitar hooks and synth lines that will have you bopping along from that first second, and Dylan’s vocal is low and commanding, reminiscent of icons such as The Human League.
'When the Fire Stops' was featured in numerous magazine write-ups and managed to attract writeups from outlets such as NOTION and Hotpress magazines.
After '22 being a successful debut year for Dylan, he now has plans to release more tracks in '23 as well as playing his first London show.
