Dublin, Ireland based Rapper/Singer Ellis Nayr creates forms of hip hop combining electronic trap and metal/rock inspired elements to compliment wordplay while progressively pushing new sounds to experiment with. He has been making music since the age of seventeen. While living in Kildare in 2017, Ellis created his home studio and released several singles throughout those eleven months, experimenting with dark melodic vocal styles.
His debut album "Purple Detox" in 2019 touched on subjects of mental health, mindfulness and unity, receiving excellent feedback with many copies sold. That same year, Ellis collaborated with Italian producer Gabrif on the single "Lost in colors", an electronic summer feel good track, sparking large attention. In 2020 during the pandemic he released the "Minerva" mixtape, displaying diverse flows on mainstream instrumentals.
Following a three year hiatus, Ellis returns to music releasing his single "Personal Rap Jesus", a rap version of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus.
Fast forward to 2024, several gigs have been performed at The Grand Social, The Crowbar Terrace, Sin é, The Bernard Shaw, The Warehouse in Balbriggan. His biggest gig he organized to date is Kamikaze: A Hip Hop Showcase that took place in The Sound House on August 9th with performances from other rising rappers from all over the country.
His next album is currently being constructed and with plans to release many new singles and perform at more shows.
