Formed in a box room in a working class paradise known as Tallaght. Emily 7 have been creating raw indie-fuelled guitar hooks and sharp lyricism to articulate their trials and tribulations of growing up since 2018. With Daniel Clarke on lead vocals & guitar, Scott Bellew on drums, Brandon Carrig on lead guitar and Uggy on bass.
Known to show up and gig anywhere that would have them, Emily 7 have garnered themselves a reputation for being one of Dublin’s hardest working bands. Thriving their way through the open mic scene, that led them to start playing their own Sell- Out Headline shows in prestigious Dublin venues such as Whelans, The Workman’s Club and The Grand Social as well as a set at Electric Picnic.
Their graft and determination led to some great success such as Twitter shoutouts from Liam Gallagher, brand endorsements from Fred Perry & Dr.Martens and a small feature on RTE One's 'My Tribe' documentary. It hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows as Scott Bellew states below:
"Trying to make it as working class youngfellas in the music industry is like trying to eat a bowl of soup with a fork; you can try and try but the kid with the silver spoon will always get more."
Emily 7 are set to feature on 'Fanning @ Whelans' as a headline act along side prestigious acts like Bob Geldof, Gilla Band, Kodaline and many more. Fanning @ Whelans aired on Virgin Media Television to a large viewership on Christmas Eve 2022
Their debut EP will be released in Mid-2023 which will coincide with a UK, Irish and European Tour.
