Emily Panter

Emily Panter is a Limerick based recording artist. Her Debut EP “Remember they love you,”releases on SASP records, April 18th.

Musically, Panter leans heavily on dark and distorted guitar riffs with Ghostly, dreamy vocals punctuated by electronic drums. Her music is infused with influences of 80s and 90’s artists such as Duran Duran, Dire Straits, and Don Henley, “This is music gifted to me by my parents, but now coming through me” Other influences that Panter picked up along the way include grunge and progressive rock and electronic music. These influences weave through and permeate the music - think ‘Boys of Summer’ but underwater—a sound that captures both the melancholic and joyous moments of life, memories that are still there but wavy and decaying.”

Panters chosen subject material allows the music to be effortlessly Ernest heartfelt and genuine. The EP describes her music as a soundtrack to accompany her life, it is deeply personal and based on true feelings experiences and emotions. The music follows the feelings of being a happy and strange child who was fascinated by everything, growing up, being faced with with struggles with shame, mental and physical health. Panter attempts to encapsulate those feelings through her writing. The music might feel melancholic as well as joyous in parts, just like life, she hopes you enjoy.
