Epilogue are a 5 piece post punk/alternative shoegaze band from the edge of county Kildare.
Forming in late 2021 with founding members Lead Guitarist Ben Doyle and Drummer Tony McGrattan, the group would soon be complete with Guitarist Thomas McCulloch joining later that year followed by Lead Vocalist David Quigley soon after. It was not until 2024 that Bass player Sean O'Reilly would join after a series of gigs with the band.
Influenced by alternative bands that were popular in the 90's such as Whipping boy, Radiohead, The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins etc., these sounds are evident in their work. Epilogue's music explores intense themes such as isolation, anxiety, paranoia, loss and longing.
After the release of their debut Ep 'The Shovel Shed' in July of 2024 which delves deep into the minds of a younger version of the group and the angst and energy they felt as teenagers, Epilogue would hone in on a more present and mature approach with their latest single '50s song' released on January 7th 2025. This song recounts a dream that Quigley had where he interacted with a loved one he had lost. 50s song would be the start of the band's new sound.
