Floor Show are a Dublin Based 4 Piece formed in late 2020 out of the ashes of a previous band with the aim to quickly build a set that was ready to gig once live shows returned in late 2021. Although all the members knew each other from being in college together, the band started out initially with Sean (guitar) and Andrew (Bass), the lineup was quickly filled out with Jessi coming on on vocals and a second Sean taking his place behind the kit. With styles ranging from primarily shoegaze and dream pop, to post punk and elements of noise rock, Floor Show's musical influences include artists such as My bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Gilla Band, Portishead, Swans, Sonic Youth, Ringo Deathstarr and Amyl & the Sniffers among many others.
Before even taking on any live shows, the band decided to go into the studio and record two singles with Daniel Doherty(Darklands Studio), the first of which, 'Walls', was released on December 3rd 2021 and had heavy shoegaze influences and lead to the opportunity to record a live video for John Barker's(98FM) TiLT showcase in the Button Factory Venue in Dublin. The second single, 'Come Home', was released in late February 2022, has a much softer dream pop influenced sound, and has received significant radio play on alternative music radio shows in Ireland and some in the UK. Two more single came in the second half of 2022 in the form of How Long? and White Noise, with the prior making it into Kieran McGuinness'(Nova) top 10 songs for 2022, and the latter achieving plays on John Kennedy's Radio X Show and multiple plays on BBC R6 with Steve Lamacq.
