Flowers at night is the music of Juno Cheetal , from West Cork, Ireland.
Her music is characterised by the layering of guitars and synths. Vocals are layered with electronic soundscapes, piano, guitar loops , bass, autoharp and live recorded orchestral strings through guitar pedals and outboard effects racks.
Her sound is strongly influenced by 80s instrumental B-sides, grunge, dreampop and film soundtracks.
Flowers at night has played the Quarter Block party festival in Cork as support to Hilary Woods, the Pepper Canister Church as support to SYML, Open Ear festival in West Cork, Cypress Hill, Cork and venues around London like New River Studios and The Macbeth. Her music is played regularly on RTE 2XM , Dublin Digital radio , Noods Radio, NTS, Totally Radio , Resonance FM , Flirt FM and Camp radio, in Ireland, the UK and France.
She self releases her music on Bandcamp and has tracks released by Sofia records and a recent compilation from Dublin based Patruin label.
Most recent gigs include playing support to UK band Paper Dollhouse on their UK/Irish tour in Sep/Oct 2019 , and gigs at New River studios in London, and Cypress Avenue in Cork, 2019, livestream gig at Boxmoon online festival May 2020, and live show for Cosmosis radio , on Dublin Digital Radio.
DJing work is mostly synth wave and electronica, with shows on Dublin Digital Radio, Totally Radio and composing pieces for theatre and short films, including ' Dancing at Lughnasa ' at the Chelsea Theatre London, and various music soundtracks for dance, theatre and student films via Goldsmiths college London.
